Where are you at with your thoughts?
❓Experiencing them and/or believing them without question?
❓Completely lost in them and the accompanying emotions they generate?
❓Observing them with interest?
❓Noticing the content of them?
❓Consciously weeding them, deciding which to feed?
❓Letting them come and go without judgement?
Wherever you are on that scale, all of those are about the CONTENT of our thoughts.
What about the actual STRUCTURE or makeup of our thoughts?
Our thoughts are made up of some combination of;
Words / Sounds
Feelings
Images
Smells
Tastes
Pick the last thought that you had and try paying attention to the specific combination of elements which makes up that specific thought.
👉I challenge you to find a thought that is not constructed of some combination of these elements.
You mentioned a list of approaches people have regarding their thoughts - especially when they are meditating.
Wanna share that for last one month my approach while meditating its to get in a state of absolutely no preference - no push to let go of thoughts or concentrate whatsoever. I simply breath to let my body relax at a deeper level and look forward to experience the contentment, the wholeness of my being when I'm not indulging myself to any thoughts, fears, planning and plotting whatsoever.
